Full reset after every closure. No persistence.

Just installed and I love the functionality, but every time I close File Voyager (or it crashes. Happened a couple times when I was moving files) it resets to most of it’s default settings. My theme stays in place, but all my favorited folders, changes to column widths, and tabs that I had opened are gone. I looked in the settings and there’s nothing there that would address this.

Hi Benjamin,

Is if the x86 or x64 version that you are running ?
Setup or Portable ?
Also, would you share your ini file with me ? It would help me see what’s the last value saved and maybe figure out what fails to be saved in it. If you have installed the Setup version, the ini file should be in the following path: %AppData%\FileVoyager\Ini\FileVoyager.ini

In the mean time, what you could also do is to install a Portable version of FileVoyager and see if it behaves better.

x64, Setup, and I’ll paste the ini at the bottom. I’ll also try the Portable version while you look. It does seem to be crashing every time I try to drag a file from the window to the address bar to transfer to a higher level folder, though.

Same issues with Portable.

Thanks for the ini and the portable test. In your ini, I remark the absence of the [RoorPaths] section. Can we make a test by adding in your ini the following ?

To do so,

1. close FileVoyager
2. add the above section in your ini file
3. then open FileVoyager (both panels should display your ‘This PC’ virtual folder)
4. when it’s fully open, close it. and let me know if the error occurs again
